What does Le Beau Narcisse smell like?
It opens with juicy bergamot and a soft creamy coconut, then settles into a powdery musk with orange blossom woven through it. The base of tonka bean, vanilla and vetiver gives a warm, almond-sweet finish. Many wearers also pick up a faint salty, solar quality that makes it feel airy rather than heavy.
How is JPG Le Beau Narcisse different from Le Beau Le Parfum?
Le Beau Le Parfum is the tropical one, built on pineapple, coconut and sandalwood with a thick, sweet character. Narcisse moves in a completely different direction: lighter, floral and powdery, driven by musk and orange blossom rather than fruit. If the sweetness of the earlier Le Beau releases was too much for you, this is the one to try.
How long does Le Beau Narcisse last?
It is long-lasting, with most wearers reporting around eight to ten hours on skin and moderate to strong projection in the first few hours. The musk and tonka base holds well. Spray on pulse points and add one spray to clothing, where the powdery notes tend to linger even longer.
When is the best time to wear Le Beau Narcisse?
It is versatile enough for most of the year. The bright bergamot opening and airy musk suit spring and summer days, while the warm tonka and vanilla base carries it comfortably into cooler evenings. It works for date nights and dinners, and at two sprays it is clean enough for daily and office wear.
Is Le Beau Narcisse too sweet or too powdery?
It is noticeably less sweet than the rest of the Le Beau line. The tonka and vanilla add warmth rather than sugar, and the dominant impression is a soft, clean musk. Some wearers do find the powdery side pronounced after the citrus fades, so if you dislike powdery fragrances it is worth sampling first.
Who created Le Beau Narcisse?
It was composed by perfumer Quentin Bisch and launched by Jean Paul Gaultier in 2026. The concept draws on the myth of Narcissus, reflected in the sculpted torso bottle wrapped in a golden scarf with a sapphire-toned stone and filled with a crystal-blue juice.
